The meeting place that transcends time and space
I wanted to invite you to be a charter member of a newly created Virtual Events Group (yes, that’s VEG for short).
We’ve all spent the last 6 months feeling our way through the maze of virtual events and platforms. We’ve seen it all. The pandemic of “Golden Gate Bridge” backgrounds, poorly-lit rooms, beauty filter fail, barking dogs, crying kids, and echo chamber audio. But now, the bar is being raised, and it’s happening too fast for any single organization to keep on top of it.
That’s why I’m inviting you to become a founding member of a select group of organizations who are working through Virtual Events 101, the hard way. Together, I believe we can get smarter, faster, and get better on how to organize and execute.
You have not wasted your pandemic daze. Instead, you’ve each moved the dial towards how we’ll do business in the future. And because we like you!
For years, we’ve been bringing the smartest people in rooms together to tackle the tech world’s thorniest problems.
Because misery loves company? No, seriously, a journey is a lot more fun when smart folks tackle it together. We can keep on top of the rapid fire tools and solutions together and even influence the solutions technologists are building for us to use.
What’s It Cost?
Nothing but 90 minutes of your time.
Will I be invited back?
We’re planning to meet twice a month, inviting speakers, showcasing demos and building experiences for your virtual viewing pleasure.
When is the event?
Tuesday, October 20 at 3:00pm ET / 12:00pm PT. This will be a one-hour meeting. Log in instructions to follow upon your acceptance.
- Success Stories: Jim Louderback transformed Vidcon, the ultimate influencer event, into a summer-long series of events. He’ll discuss his pivot and showcase some of his personal tech saviors.
- Brent Bushnell, CEO of Two Bit Circus, will offer an entertaining look at how he took a real-live high tech circus and moved it online.
- Virtual Pain Points: Robin Raskin hosts an open discussion with you, key industry associates, who’ll take us on your emotional rollercoasters towards successful virtual events.
- Group Think: A fun, collaborative exercise on how to be apart, together led by Alfred Poor.
Future events will include product demos, tutorials, and more wise words from VEG members.

Instead of business, as usual, we’re going to feature a series of special reports from ourselves, friends
and colleagues on how to stay sane and share the tech love during this rough, and unchartered period. Check back daily for tips on how tech can help.
